We are delighted to share the weaving art designed and made by Wayuu women.
Waneshi is the word in wayuunaiki to say unique, one, a thread, the one and only.
When you wear a Waneshi, you evoke the strength of the Wayuu woman, who resists in the desert of the northernmost point of South America.
The colors of the sand of the Guajira desert were the inspiration to weave this piece. The base shows mastery in crochet, and the strap uses a paletera technique.
I love my Waneshi bag. All the colours and patterns are so vivid and it got that lovely summer vibe on it.
I have had my waneshi for three years now and it will continue to be my trusted summer bag for many years to Come.
I am very Very Happy with my superbeautiful waneshi bags. They are really eye catchers.
